Danika and Jaxon met as teenagers working at a small summer camp in Hope. Danika was known as the loud, fun cabin leader. She was always singing camp songs or hyping up campers. Jaxon was a natural leader. His campers saw him as a role model and friend. Throughout the summer, the couple had a strong friendship built on shared laughter and a mutual love for the kids they were working with. As the summer came to an end, Danika and Jaxon began spending evenings on the dock, talking and looking at the stars for hours. After that, they never looked back. They have tackled many of life's challenges together, including long distance, family drama, living with roommates, living on their own, Danika's time consuming degree and Jaxon's long hour blue collar jobs. Despite all of this, they have never been more in love. On September 14, 2024 Jaxon got down on one knee on the same dock they fell in love on. The couple cannot wait to continue walking through life together. They look forward to travelling the world, developing their careers and eventually (in a long time) becoming parents.
